CHILDREN NEWS

Asih Lestari Orphanage received 1 (one) more child in July, named Vandi Pastian Hulu, a boy of 7 years old, making a total of children  as of July 31, 2010 was 38, consisting of 17 girls and 21 boys, including 2 employee's children. 

Good news!  All school children were successfully promoted and graduated to higher class.  School children by level of classes  for school year 2010-2011 are as follows:

Activities during school holidays from June 12 to July 11, 2010, were as follows:

1. Participated in the celebration of PA AL 4th anniversary with the Management and Church Officials from GKI Kepa Duri.

2. Participated in "Day Life Program", such as cooking, assisted in electricity, water and phone bill payments, cleaning and internship in PWK Hana.  Internship in PWK Hana took place from June 21 to June 29, 2010, participated by 8 (eight) children who were divided into two groups, each group consisted of 4 children.

3. Fulfilled the invitation from the Commitee of Jakarta Week Festival on June 29, 2010.

4. Camping with Children Commission from GKI Surya Utama

5. Received live-in from Youth Commission from GKI Mangga Besar

6. Recreations

The children who were just admitted to Senior High and Secondary classes were obliged to participate in the Students Orientation Program from July 6-9, 2010.  New school year for the year 2010-2011 began on July 12, 2010.

A.  1 (one) Child Psycholog with the following requirements:

1.  Bachelor in child psychology

2.  Christian

3.  Still active as a child psycholog

4.  Service-motivated

B.  1 (one)  Male Governess with the following requirements:

1.  Christian

2.  Aged between 25 - 40 years

3.  Single

4.  Not smoking

5.  Children service oriented, especially for teenagers

6.  Willing to stay inside the Orphanage

Every Monday

Every Monday starting at 8 am, there is a mass for employees which is held alternatively among the employees, followed by evaluation of activities.

July 1, 2010

Since July 1, 2010 Mr. Lobuan Sinambela was officially working for The Orphanage as a Security.  The Management of Asih Lestari Orphanage warmly welcome him in the Orphanage.

July 5 and July 20 2010

Mr. Darma and Mrs. Hanna participated in the training seminar by Action Coach at Panti Asuhan Parartasih, Jatinegara 122, East Jakarta.  This activity was a program from Forum Komunikasi Panti Asuhan Pusat participated by 14 orphanages from Jakarta and West Java regions.  The purpose of this activity was to train/educate ways to increase donations for orphanage.  After this training, each orphanage will meet directly with one coach.  Asih Lestari Orphanage will be trained by Coach Lina.  Next meeting with Coach Lina is scheduled on 4 dan 20 of August 2010.

July 12, 2010

Mrs. Hanna with the Management held a meeting with BPMJ GKI Kepa Duri to discuss a Responsibility Report for Work Program 2009-2010 and Work Program for year 2010-2011.

July 14, 2010

Mrs. Hanna and Mrs. Tini took The Decision Letter of the Social Affairs Department for Subsidized Additional Assistance for Primary Needs for year 2010 at the Social Affairs Office of Kabupaten Tangerang.

July 16, 2010

Mrs. Hanna held a meeting with the Management.

July 22, 2010

Mrs. Esther met with the Orphanage Governesses to discuss children developments and candidate for a male governess.

Activities of The Children Administration Unit for the month of July were as follows:

1. Enrolled children to government elementary schools, Yadika Secondary School, and Senior High (SMK) Ariya Meta, concurrently paid school fee tuitions and apparentices.

2. Purchased book packages for seven children of SD Gapura Kasih from distributor in  Pulo Gadung area in order to get cheaper prices.

3. Participated in Parents Meeting held by Yayasan Pendidikan Ariya Meta at SMK Ariya Meta.

4. Took medicines for  3 children from Public Health Center (Puskesmas).

The Orphanage of Asih Lestari  needs 1 (one) unit of Generator 10 KVA silent. (New or second condition).

Management and Staff of  Asih Lestari Orphanage tendered many many thanks to all  patrons who had sincerely contributed  1 unit of  Daihatsu Grand Max year 2007, 1 unit of printer Photo Smart (scan, copy, print) and assistance in repairing shelves and bathroom door hinges, school schoes and other consumable goods.  May Jesus our Lord give abundant of blessings to all of you!
